Priscilla in Edinburgh
Priscilla Queen of the Desert – the Musical stated off life as a world wide hit on the silver screen. “A movie about three friends going across Australia in a bus” doesn’t even start to describe this incredible film. But the film became a musical in the West End and now we are lucky enough to be welcoming it to the Playhouse theatre in Edinburgh, starring none other than Jason Donovan
The show comes to Edinburgh Playhouse the weekn of 04 to 09 March 2013 and guests on a Priscilla Queen of the Desert Edinburgh break can expect an evening of feel-good storylines and heartwarming musical numbers.
Priscilla is the uplifting adventure of three friends who hop aboard a battered old bus searching for love and friendship and end up finding more than they had ever dreamed of. Jason Donovan stars as Tick, a role he originated in the West End, the drag queen travelling to Alice Spings for a gig – a show that has probably never been seen in Alice Springs before! But it is what they discover and who they meet on the way that makes this show stand out.
Packed full of award-winning costumes and a catalogue of dance-floor favourites, Priscilla Queen of the Desert is a must see in Edinburgh this winter! The iconic songs include I Will Survive, It’s Raining Men, Finally, Hot Stuff, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Boogie Wonderland, I Love the Nightlife and Go West. Wildl, fresh, funny, heart warming and unforgettable!
